OSCO BGU AND BGU-D OSCO BARRIER GATES

The Model BGU-D barrier gate is designed to control vehicular traffic and can be actuated by different devices, such
as radio contols, single and three-button control stations, digital keypads, coded cards, sensing loops, telephone
entry systems, and revenue control equipment. The Model BGU-D barrier gate can be used for either traffic control
or parking applications. Gate arm opening speed is 2 seconds. Through switch selections, the gate operator is
universal and suitable for all installation and operational functions. Switch selection allows for full flexibility as to how
and when the arm comes down in traffic control situations. Added advantage to the DC operator is the automatic-
open feature upon power loss. Available with three sizes of arms and two cabinet colors. Optional solar panel
available.

Anti-Entrapment/Detection Devices:
  • Operator is pre-wired to accept contact and non-contact detection devices such as
  • reverse edges and/or photo electric eyes.
Control Circuit:
  • Solid state circuit board, 24 VDC
  • Inherent current sensing system
  • 15 LEDs for easy setup and troubleshooting
  • Built-in maximum run timer and auto close timer
  • Master/Slave - simple three-wire connection
Gate Arm:  
  • 10', 12' or 14'
  • Constructed of 1"x4" soft wood, painted white with yellow and black warning tape and labels on each side.
OSCO BGU-D Battery Back-up:
  • Dual batteries charged by 115 VAC or optional solar panels
  • Charging circuit monitors and maintains battery levels, monitors AC availability, automatically switches to batteries when AC is removed,
    and automatically resumes AC operation
  • Control circuit options in absence of AC power:
  • Option 1: Fail safe (opens the gate and shuts down until AC power is restored)
  • Option 2: Fail secure (continues to cycle gate in normal operation until batteries run down and then cycles open. Resumes cycling when
    existing batteries are charged or when fresh batteries are installed)

  • 1/3 HP, 115 VAC, single-phase, thermally-protected open-frame, resilient-mounted PSC motor
  • Power on/off switch
  • Duplex receptacle (115 VAC units only)
  • Three-button control station included
  • Accessory connections are 24-volt AC or DC
  • Easily adjustable cam-operated limit switches
  • Motor has manually-resettable overload
  • Full system capable for access control and reversing devices

  • 24 VDC permanent magnet motor
  • 115 VAC supply converted to 24 VDC for motor and controls

  • Easily adjustable cam-operated limit switches
