A garden gate should reflect and convey the philosophy and purpose of the garden.

sure the gate is solid and this can be from an array of choices of Metal, Plexiglass and

standard gate is 4' - 6' tall and 32" - 36" wide. It should be wide enough for access for
equipment such as wheelbarrows, mowers or tractors and the movement of materials.
Also consider whether the garden should be accessible to wheelchairs, if the gate needs
to be more than five feet wide, install a two-piece gate that latches in the middle would
probably be a good idea because it would be uncomfortable to swing such a large gate,
